| 10/14/2006 Heroes to Hero 5k Run Glouscester City, NJ The Breakneck Track Club got a strong showing from five of its members Saturday October 14th at the Heroes to Hero 5k Run in Gloucester City, NJ. The race honors three firefighters of the Mt. Ephraim and Gloucester City fire departments who gave their lives in a tragic house fire on July 4th, 2002. With cool temperatures and clear skies, BTC was led by Nick Desantis who finished in 15th place with a time of 16:11. Just ten seconds behind Nick was Aaron Boucher, who was running in just his second race for BTC. Boucher is now looking towards a fast race at the Rothman 8k in Philadelphia in late November, “Saturday went well; much better race than PDR. So now I am looking to get some speed sessions in before the Rothman 8k”. Next across the line for BTC was Rich Bostwick in 16:52 for 25th place. Dan Taylor, in preparation for the Philadelphia Marathon, ran a 18:03 to finish just ahead of Brian Henderson who ran 18:08. The race was won by Samuel Ndereba of Royersford, PA in a time of 14:10. In all the race had 10 runners well under 16: 00. Next up for BTC, John Garton will be running the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon on October 22nd. Also, Dan Taylor will be running the Ben Franklin Bridge run on November 5th and Matt Ciociola will be running the ING New York City Marathon on the same day. Box Score: 15. Nick Desantis 16:11 18.
